Andrew Skurman

For several years, Andrew Skurman of Andrew Skurman Architects has served as the creative director for The San Francisco Fall Antiques Show.

Each year, Andy and his office have come up with a breathtaking and show-stopping visual identity.  The year might take the prize.  The below image is an elevation illustrating the concept for this year - 6 huge waves towering overhead as you enter the show! You will have to see it to believe it - so mark the date of the Preview Party on Wednesday, October 24th.

Another exciting event taking place is the annual Designer Saturday, this year October 27th.  The afternoon will feature panel discussion in which Andrew and Ann Getty will talk about each of their new books (check back next week for more on Ann Getty’s forthcoming publication!)  We recently sat down with Andy and had a chance to have a sneak peek of his new book, hot off the press.

He wrote his book a resource for interior designers and homeowners.  As a historical guide, it is very different from other architectural books.  There are examples from Antiquity to the present, including floor plans of projects, stunning detailed drawings and elevations, and spectacular watercolors.  It was just published by Princeton Architectural Press.

Come learn more from the master himself!
